BE SAFE THIS CHRISTMAS

Federal Member for Lingiari Warren Snowdon today has extended to his constituents his best wishes for a very Merry Christmas and happy New Year.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas Day, filled with laughter and love and good cheer for the New Year, Mr Snowdon said.

Territory roads can be very busy during the festive period, I urge all motorists to stay safe on our roads over the festive season. Make safe choices and lets work together to ensure we have no fatalities on our roads.

Mr Snowdon urged everyone across the electorate of Lingiari to shop locally this Christmas and support the region.

Sometimes it can be difficult to get things locally, but I encourage anyone who can get something locally to buy it in town and support our small businesses.

The impact of money spent locally multiplies as it cycles through our towns local economies.

By spending money earned locally within our communities, we are supporting local jobs and helping local businesses to grow and thrive.

Mr Snowdon said he would also take a moment on Christmas Day to remember those who are working in essential services, who are serving in various positions and in various locations and would be apart from their families for the festive season.

While we are all lucky enough to spend the day with our loved ones, many essential service professionals will be working this Christmas away from their friends and families, he said.
