I'm proud to represent the people of Lingiari, the most interesting and diverse electorate in Australia. As your local Member of Parliament I am able to voice your views and concerns in the Parliament and in Government, and I'm always keen to find out more about the issues the Lingiari community cares about.

In my capacity as Member for Lingiari and also in my roles as the Shadow Parliamentary Secretary for External Affairs, the Shadow Parliamentary Secretary for Indigenous Affairs and the Shadow Parliamentary Secretary for Northern Australia, I will continue to work hard for the people of the Northern Territory, Christmas Island and Cocos-Keeling Islands. I will ensure that you are at the forefront of the National debate on the development of Northern Australia and in Indigenous advancement and that Federal policy is driven to make living in the Territory and North Australia, fairer and better, for you and your family.

“Whoever is the NT Chief Minister should call the Administrator and call an election immediately,” Federal Member for Lingiari Warren Snowdon said today.

“The CLP have lost the confidence of Territorians. Their policy decisions, including increases in the cost of living, the sale of TIO, savage cuts to health and education and general arrogance has burned public trust in their integrity and competence.

“No one has confidence in the latest rabble now occupying the fifth floor of Parliament House. They are a joke,” Mr Snowdon said.

“Through their own actions, this dysfunctional and dishonest CLP Government have made themselves the laughing stock of Australia.

“The situation here has become farcical. Not only are we a joke but no one takes the Northern Territory seriously anymore.

“Queenslanders had the chance three days ago to let their dysfunctional Government know what they thought about the arrogance of their elected representatives selling off publicly owned assets, sacking teachers and the rest of it.

“Territorians deserve the opportunity to decide on the future of the Territory, someone needs to call an election now,” Mr Snowdon said.
